2023. August bans

In the month of August, a fishing competition is held several times throughout the county. During the events, full or partial fishing bans will be in effect for anglers who have not entered the competition. Please always check the current restrictions before you go fishing. In addition to our website, we publish the bans on our Facebook page and, if possible, on the lakeside notice boards.

The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations orders a fishing ban at the following locations and times in August:

• On August 5, 2023 (Saturday), from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., a general fishing ban will be in effect on Lake Vadása due to the event.​​​​

• On August 13, 2023 (Sunday), from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., there is a general fishing ban on Lake Magyarszecsőd due to a canoe competition in the part of the lake on the Magyarszecsőd side, up to the peninsula in the middle of the lake .

• On Sunday, August 6, 2023, the youth fishing camp organized by the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations will begin in Vaskeresztes. For a significant part of the time of the camp, which lasts until Thursday, the participating children will fish on the Alpine fishing lake and, if given the opportunity, on the Pinka backwater in Vaskereszetes.

  Due to the large number of people, the available free fishing spots in the mentioned water areas are limited between August 6, 2023 and August 10, 2023.

• On August 12, 2023 (Saturday) from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., there will be a general ban for anglers who have not entered the competition due to an association fishing competition on Lake Magyarszecsődi.​​​​

• On August 13, 2023 (Sunday) from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. there will be a general ban on the Újperint I lake due to a fishing competition for anglers who have not entered the competition.​​​​

• On August 19, 2023 (Saturday), from 07:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on the Kerka-holtág in Kerkaszentkirály for anglers who have not entered the competition due to a fishing competition.

• On August 20, 2023 (Sunday), from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., there will be a general ban on the side of Lake Abért II on the side of the Lukácsháza settlement for anglers who have not entered the competition .

• On August 27, 2023 (Sunday) from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be a general ban for anglers who have not entered the competition due to a fishing competition on Lake Répcelaki.
