20,000 pre-bred pike entered the iron waters

On Thursday, the fishermen of our Association and their volunteer helpers installed a total of 20,000 pre-bred little pike in the lakes and rivers of Vas and Zala counties, which are traditionally considered “closed”.
The small “crocodiles” delivered by Tógazda Halászati Zrt., Blown with oxygen in a double plastic bag, were installed on the protected shores of the affected water areas with the help of a bucket and a plastic filter.
Pike are fast-growing fish, so they can reach catchable size within a year or two under ideal conditions. In addition to carp plantations for fishing, our Association will continue to plant native predators and river fish species, subject to availability.
