The championship consists of four rounds. The championship rounds will take place at the following times and locations:
Round 1–2: April 18–19, 2026. Iron Cross.
Rounds 3–4: October 10–11, 2026. Nyírpazony.
Entry fee: 80,000 HUF.

The first two rounds of the VI. Trout Area OB will be held on April 18–19, 2026 in the Vaskeresztes area of western Hungary. The competition will pit the top anglers in Hungarian trout area fishing against each other, competing for valuable championship points. The rounds at the beginning of the season are particularly important, as they form the basis for the entire year's championship.
During the two-day competition, every detail of fine-tuned trout fishing plays a key role. Accurate casting, choosing the right lures, and constantly refining their management all contribute to a successful performance. Due to the diverse characteristics of the Vaskerestes course, competitors must adapt quickly and fish with a well-thought-out strategy, even in the case of experienced competitors.
This event is not only a championship round, but also a professional meeting, where the latest trout area methods, trends and proven techniques can be observed. The Vaskerestes competition is therefore rightfully one of the most significant spring events in domestic trout fishing.
