Tons of indigenous juvenile fish arrived in the Vas waters with the support of MOHOSZ
In the past month, the Iron County Federation of Sport Fishing Associations has placed 3,280 kg of selected two-three-year-old bream bait (15-25 cm), 4804 kg two summer carp (average 25-30 cm) in several federal waters. In addition to carp, 200 pieces of perch perch - between 10 and 15 cm - were placed in the Szombathely Boating Lake.
These installations were carried out with the support of the Association and with the support of the Hungarian National Fishermen's Association for the "Installation and Re-introduction of Standard and Preferred Native Species 2019" .
Originally, the Alliance wanted to install 9500 kg of bream, but due to a nationwide shortage of bream, the Alliance received the deferred subsidy partly for the installation of two-year-old carp and ca. He wanted to invest 3000 pieces of perch. It became evident this week that not only the bream is missing from the domestic fish farming palette this winter, but also the young perch. There is a significant surplus of carp in Hungarian fish farming today, but the procurement of other indigenous juvenile fish is much worse than in previous years.
In the current situation, the management of the Alliance was forced to use the remaining financial resources - intended for the placing of one-year-old perch - to deploy the two-year-old carp in order to use the subsidies. This year, the Association put more than 60,000 kg of anglers' most popular fish - carp - into the fishing waters. Most two-year-old carp have not yet reached the smallest 30 cm size limit, so they ask for the barbs to take special care of the newly introduced young fish. In 2020, the leadership of the Alliance will strive to bring as many bream and juvenile predators into the Iron Waters as opposed to unscheduled point settlements.
