No new registration is required to enter the application. You can enter the application with the username and password you used until now for fishing registration on the MOHOSZ / horgaszzegy.hu page. If the angler does not know it, has forgotten the access data he previously provided, or has questions about using the application, please contact the MOHOSZ Central Customer Service Office at +36 1 445-0555 or https://tudastar. through the chat application on horinfo.hu/ .
Through the HORGÁSZ application, the digital document wallet became available in the first step, with the help of which the inspection becomes much easier. In the future, anglers will no longer be required to keep fishing documents that appear in the "Fishing document portfolio" module, authentically certified and with a validity clause, and the fish warden or other person authorized to inspect them must accept their presentation through the application.
The document folder contains the digital version of the currently valid Hungarian Fishing Card, the identification data of the state fishing license and the issued regional fishing license. In the future, the application will uniquely and authentically certify the existence of the state fishing exam or the equivalent previous fishing exam in both Hungarian and English, so if necessary, this certificate can be used in most foreign countries. The valid driver's license was also included in the document folder.
Using the new "Interactive area ticket purchase" module, already optimized for smartphones, the possibility of online purchase of area fishing tickets is greatly simplified. With the help of the application, the map and list view makes it easy to discover more than 1,000 registered water areas in Hungary used for fishing by fishing organizations, as well as their fishing and some fishing tourism services. In order to provide anglers with adequate information, the "Restricted areas" are also available at the click of a button, which are also provided in the form of an interactive map for the entire country. It is important to note that only the data that the fishing organizations have uploaded to the HORINFO professional system are displayed, so it is in our common interest to continuously clarify and update the databases.
The "Mailbox" module of the HORGÁSZ application is also suitable for all anglers to receive direct notifications of important news, legislative changes or current administrative deadlines. This interface is located under an icon marked with a bell. There is a green or red sign next to it, which shows the coverage with field strength and the possibility of data connection.
In the near future, we plan to add many more angler-friendly features to the application. The greyed-out, still inactive menu items show that it will be possible to keep the catch log electronically if the angler chooses this solution. This includes the condition that the HORINFO professional system and the application will both ensure the replacement of the electronic state fishing license that will be introduced as a general rule from 2025, and that fishing document cannot be lost or destroyed from now on. At a later stage, the option to mark "Favorite fishing spots" for your own purposes and to upload photos of hobby (C&R) catches in the "My Catches" module will also be opened. The development of additional commercial and informational modules related to fishing tourism services in a broader sense is also being prepared and implemented.
The application is currently available to those over 18 who have an independent HORINFO fishing profile, but we are working to make it or some of its options available to our younger fishermen (who currently do not have an independent entity in our professional system, but are in a supervised position) as soon as possible. It is important to mention that guardians can still buy regional tickets for their wards through the application, in the interactive regional ticket purchase menu. We will report back soon with the next steps!
