Our campers participated in a camp rich in experiences
The Vasi Vizeken Summer Fishing Camp was traditionally held in the first week of August, and this year, young anglers were welcomed for five days at the Alpesi Fogadó and Fishing Tourism Center in Vaskeresztes. The 34 enthusiastic participants took part in a variety of programs, during which they not only learned the tricks of fishing, but also had a number of social experiences.

- The first day: getting to know each other and the first bites
The camp began on Monday morning with the official opening. The children settled into their accommodations and quickly took over the shore: they set up their equipment and went fishing for the first time.
In the afternoon, the program continued with a presentation introducing the wildlife of the Pinka stream, and in the evening, the more persistent could try the thrills of night fishing.
- Second day: target shooting competition and lots of fun
On Tuesday, after the morning gymnastics, a target shooting competition and a presentation presenting the work of the Association enriched the day.
The tent and room order were also checked, which turned out to be more of a fun competition than a strict assessment. In addition to fishing, the children were also preparing for the next day's exam, while closer friendships were formed between them.
- Day three: retro atmosphere and fishing test
On Wednesday, the day started with a run and a fun rubber boot throwing competition. After that, Tamás Karácsonyi gave a demonstration about old-time fishing equipment, after which the campers were able to try out the traditional rods themselves.
The fishing test took place in the afternoon, which all applicants successfully completed. Later, Balázs Németh, a world championship silver medalist, demonstrated his feeder techniques, and the children even managed to catch fish with his rods. The day ended with football and, of course, more fishing.
- Day four: competition and beach time
On Thursday, the long-awaited fishing competition took place at the Abért Lakes, in which the children competed in both individual and team categories. The competition was not only about winning, but also about competing for the title of "Camper of the Week".
The good-natured fishing was followed in the afternoon by a beach trip in Burg, where the participants could relax after the week's hard work. The evening ended with the last night fishing.
- Closing day: farewell and announcement of results
On Friday, in addition to packing and cleaning, there was also time for one last "farewell party" before the camp officially ended. At the closing ceremony, the awards for the best of the week were presented.

We made a short video summary of each of the 5 days, which we will now publish here in one complete video.
The participants returned home not only with fish-catching experiences, but also with new friendships and many shared memories. The fish were returned to the water, but the experiences will remain forever.
We hope that we will be able to welcome many familiar faces to the Vasi Vizeken fishing camp next summer!
During the week, Szombathely Television also visited us and produced a summary of the everyday life of the fishing camp, which can be viewed here.
