Norbert Puskás is the new president of MOHOSZ

At the July 16th meeting of the Hungarian National Fishing Association (MOHOSZ), Norbert Puskás was elected as the new president of the organization with a 48-20 vote, with 95.2% participation. For the first time in the history of MOHOSZ, an iron expert was appointed head of the largest civil organization in Hungary.

This trust is the result of many years of consistent and humble work. The path to this point was not without challenges and trials, but the most important values have remained unchanged throughout: honesty, professionalism, transparency and service to anglers. These are the foundations on which the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations was built and along which the joint work can continue at a national level in the future.

For Norbert Puskás, this mandate is both an honor and a serious responsibility, which he intends to live with the same humility, perseverance and love of work that have characterized his career so far. He feels the weight of the trust of the board of directors and intends to work with commitment to repay this authority with work, results and service. Dr. Béla Urbányi, Director General, will also be a decisive partner in this, with whom they will work together to ensure that the development of Hungarian fishing is determined by honest, economical, transparent and value-creating work.

The previous management created stable foundations on which we can build with confidence. However, the coming period also requires a new perspective, a new approach and different emphases. Respect for traditions and openness to development can together mean the next successful period of Hungarian fishing.

This recognition is not only a personal achievement, but also a joint success for the entire Vas County! From local anglers, to association leaders, to county officials, everyone contributed to our county, which is one of the smallest in the country in terms of the number of anglers, receiving such an outstanding professional award. None of this would have been possible without cooperation, mutual trust, and belief in common development.

We heartily congratulate Norbert Puskás on his election, as well as the new vice-president of MOHOSZ and all the newly elected board members. We wish them much success, good health, and fruitful work together for the benefit of the Hungarian fishing community!
