New tools help maintain waterfronts

For the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations, maintaining the orderly condition of the lakes and riverside fishing spots under its management is a priority throughout the year. The continuous maintenance of hundreds of hectares of waterside requires modern machinery, therefore it is of particular importance to us that our machinery park could be expanded and renewed with new equipment with the support of MOHOSZ.

Although this year's extreme heat and lack of precipitation temporarily required less grass cutting and mowing in several places, the regular maintenance of lake shores, river banks, and fishing spots remains a serious task for our fish wardens during the spring, early summer, and autumn.

Our fish guards are currently maintaining the following water areas - without claiming to be complete:

Our association's representatives carry out maintenance work and:

the Kęthatár Lake in Kerkafalvi,
on the Abert I-II lakes,
and on Lake Csánig.

We are particularly pleased that the machines for which we submitted our support request in mid-2025 under the “I. Support for the Purchase of Waterside Equipment” program announced by MOHOSZ have finally arrived. Due to the time-consuming nature of public procurement procedures and the manufacturing and delivery process of the machines, the development could only be implemented now, but it is all the more pleasing that the new equipment can finally start working.

Thanks to the investment, not only will the Association's maintenance capacity be expanded, but it will also allow us to replace two of our 12-year-old and 6-year-old lawn tractors that have been in service for many years. The new machines will make waterfront maintenance faster, safer and more efficient, the benefits of which our anglers will also experience every day.

With the support of MOHOSZ, as a result of the public procurement procedure, Andl Kft., headquartered in Pápa, delivered the following machines to our Association and our water treatment member associations:

2 Husqvarna 545RX brush cutters
1 Husqvarna 545 Mark II chainsaw
2 pcs Husqvarna 525PT5S high-altitude pruning shears
2 pcs Husqvarna 525HE3 hedge trimmers
1 Husqvarna 125B leaf blower

The total value of the development is 10,371,328 HUF, for which MOHOSZ provided a non-refundable grant of 6,720,942 HUF. The remaining 3,650,386 HUF was financed by our Association from its own resources. Thanks to the investment, our machinery has become more modern and reliable, which in the long term contributes to maintaining a tidy, safe and cultured environment in the fishing waters under our management.

We would like to thank MOHOSZ for the significant support that made the development possible, as well as the Andl Kft. employees for the professional handover and commissioning of the machines. We are confident that the new equipment will serve our fishing community for many years and contribute to ensuring that the shores of our waters continue to provide a tidy, safe and demanding environment for everyone.
