Information on the organizational decision of the MOHOSZ Board
The Board of the Hungarian National Fishing Association (MOHOSZ) made decisions on several important issues affecting the operation of the organization at its meeting on May 26, 2026. According to the official information of the MOHOSZ, the outgoing president, Dr. Lajos Szűcs, entrusted Norbert Puskás, the executive president of the Vas County Federation of Sport Fishing Associations, with the duties of vice president.
The purpose of the decision was to ensure the operability and continuous representation of MOHOSZ following the previous vacancy of the position of Vice President.
The board meeting also approved the 2025 financial report and budget of MOHOSZ, and announced that Dr. Lajos Szűcs no longer wishes to serve as the president of MOHOSZ. The renewal of office is planned to take place at the extraordinary board meeting to be convened in July 2026.
It is an honor for our association that our executive president can take on a significant role in ensuring the operation of the Hungarian fishing organization system during this transitional period.
Regarding the assignment, Norbert Puskás emphasized that the primary consideration is to support the stable operation of the organization, ensure continuity, and keep the interests of the fishing community in mind.
