Information on submitting catch logs for 2025
Here we summarize the most important information, deadlines and options related to submitting 2025 catch logs and obtaining a state fishing license for 2026.
1. Deadline for submitting the catch logbook
The final deadline for submitting the 2025 catch logbook is February 28, 2026.
2. Electronic catch log (e-log)
The electronically generated 2025 catch logbook:
- It was automatically closed in the HORINFO system on January 31, 2026.
In this case, there is no separate delivery obligation.
3. Submitting a paper catch log
Before submitting the paper-based 2025 catch log, anglers are required to complete the annual summary. They must count the number of days spent fishing and then record in the summary table at the end of the log:
- the quantity of fish caught by water type and fish species (in kg),
- in the case of fish species with limited numbers, also the number caught.
After the summary, the catch log can be submitted in the following ways:
1. In person
At the fishing association where the angler wishes to become a member in 2026 and obtain a state fishing license.
2. By post
For the MOHOSZ or its former fishing association. It is important that in this case the angler must prove the date of mailing the log with a receipt.
3. Electronic submission via angler profile
The angler enters his/her own angler profile (HORINFO system), completes the annual summary, and then electronically records and submits the catch log data.
Important information in this case:
- The paper catch log must be retained after submission.
- The retention obligation expires on December 31, 2027.
- The angler must be able to present the logbook in the event of an inspection – whether by MOHOSZ or the association.
4. 2026 state fishing license redemption
In 2026, the angler will still have the option to choose between a paper-based and an electronic catch logbook, regardless of which type the angler used in 2025.
If the angler's association has joined the new online membership system, it is also possible to manage the entire administration online from home without having to appear in person via the angler's profile. However, in this case, only an electronic catch log can be selected.
Important:
If the angler does not submit his 2025 catch log by February 28, 2026, he can only exchange the 2026 state fishing license at an increased price, which is twice the price of the current state fishing license (+ 6,000 HUF ).
We ask our fellow anglers to help ensure smooth administration and ticket exchange by adhering to deadlines and recording data accurately!
If you haven't purchased your ticket yet, we look forward to welcoming you to our member associations!
Thanks to the successful management of MOHOSZ and our Association, we can guarantee the usual quality and continuous fish stocking this year as well, without increasing the price of fishing licenses.

We wish you a successful fishing season!
