GOOD NEWS: THE 2026 SEASON STARTS WITH UNCHANGED PRICES

The silence of the Vásárlón waters and the closeness of nature await you this year as well. In the second week of January, ticket sales for 2026 will officially start. Despite the challenging economic situation, we have good news: you can purchase state fishing licenses, regional tickets and federal contributions at the same price in 2026. Thanks to the successful management of MOHOSZ and our Association, we can guarantee the usual standard and continuous fish stocking next year - for the third year in a row - without increasing the price of fishing licenses.

Only the association membership fees may increase slightly, but according to our information, they will remain unchanged in most places. We have already delivered 6,500 documents to the member associations, so from the second week of January you can confidently contact your association to renew your fishing documents.

The 2026 fishing regulations contain only minor modifications and clarifications. The most important innovations are the new C&R-type rules of the Rábagyarmati reservoir , which provide priority to child and youth anglers due to the limited capacity of the water area, and determine the conditions for sport fishing. Fishing regulations amendments valid from January 1, 2026 are available here. Due to the sale of Nagypiriti Lake, the regulations relating to the lake in the fishing regulations have been deleted; however, fishing in the water area is still possible with valid fishing licenses until January 31, 2026.

The validity of the Hungarian Fishing Cards issued in 2021 will last until January 31, 2026, and previously issued fishing cards have also expired. Since the new state document cannot be exchanged without a valid card, those affected must ensure their renewal. The process is simple: it can be done online in the horgaszjegy.hu profile, or in person at the associations during the ticket exchange. The renewal fee is 2,200 HUF, which ensures eligibility for another 5 years, the digital convenience of the MOHOSZ Horgász App and unified fishing insurance. Although the 2025 annual tickets are valid until the end of January, it is worth taking action in time. Most of the associations will start selling them in the second week of January - it is recommended to find out about the customer reception schedule in advance. The possibility of personal administration (e.g. ticket exchange, fishing card application, etc.) at the Association's customer service office in Vaskerestes is available by prior appointment from January 6, 2026.
