After extra carp, bream arrived in Lake Döröskei
With the help of the tender of the Hungarian Fisheries Operational Program, the water facilities of Lake Döröskei were renewed this year, which we already reported on in mid-October. At the end of the project, on October 13, 2023, in accordance with the current fish management plan, the first new "inhabitants" of the lake arrived, a total of 468 kg in the form of extra carp between 4-5 kg.
In order to repopulate and strengthen the native fish stock as soon as possible, on November 18, 2023, the Hungarian National Fishing Association, as the lake's asset manager and fish management user, put out 500 kg of wonderful bream. MOHOSZ, in cooperation with the Vas County Association of Sportfishing Associations, intends to use Lake Döröske next year primarily as a C&R (catch and release) sportfishing lake, using the available shorelines, so that the water area will once again enter the fishing tourism cycle.
