A children's competition was held over the weekend in Répcelak
Répcelak has had an excellent fishing profession for many years, led by Attila Kádi, president of the association, as evidenced by the growing number of child anglers there and the constant demand for youth programs. On the last Sunday of August, the Répcelak Fishing Association organized its traditional children's competition.
Pre-registration of 20 children was registered by the directors, however, due to the cold front of the night and the windy weather, seventeen appeared in the competition, which can still be considered a nice number of people. The competition was organized into two categories, between lower and upper grades.
After the morning briefing, the children took up their fishing spot by pulling out numbers written on candies. During the preparation, Aunt Giza's delicious flame was already prepared for breakfast, which the children ate even before they started. At the time of the competition, 1 rod could be used at the same time and a maximum of 1 single-hook hook could be used on the gear, only floating methods could be used.
Catching fish was very difficult in the already stormy wind and made things very difficult for the young people, which is why unfortunately few fish got into the bags during the 4-hour race. The lucky ones managed to catch one or two carp and grass carp, while the less fortunate managed to catch only small fish that day.
Despite the lack of competition in the catches, the children had a good time and were able to compare their knowledge gained during the fishing profession in a well-organized competition.
