Fishing competitions will be held several times throughout the county in May. During the events, there will be full or partial fishing bans for anglers who have not registered for the competition. Please always check the current restrictions before you go fishing. In addition to our website, we will also publish the bans on our Facebook page and, if possible, on the lakeside notice boards.

The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations has ordered a fishing ban at the following locations and times in May:

On May 1, 2026 (Friday) and May 3, 2026 (Sunday), from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., there will be a general fishing ban on Lake Kéthatár in Kerkafalvi due to the fishing competition.

On May 2, 2026 (Thursday), from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., a general fishing ban will be in effect on Lake Pinkamindszenti due to a family fishing competition as part of the Flórián farewell.

On May 8, 2026 (Friday), from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on fishing on the Lukácsháza side of Lake Abért II for anglers not registered for the competition due to the VII. Zsarubáráti Fishing Competition.

On May 9, 2026 (Saturday) and May 10, 2026 (Sunday), from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., a general fishing ban will be in effect for anglers not registered for the competition due to a fishing competition at the Döröske Reservoir.

On May 16, 2026 (Saturday), from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on fishing on the Lukácsháza side of Lake Abért II due to a private competition for anglers not registered for the competition.

On May 17, 2026 (Sunday), from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., a general fishing ban will be in effect for anglers not registered for the competition due to a fishing competition at the Döröske Reservoir.
