2026. July bans
Several fishing competitions will be held throughout the county in July. During the events, there will be full or partial fishing bans for anglers who have not registered for the competition. Please always check the current restrictions before you go fishing. In addition to our website, we will also post the bans on our Facebook page and, if possible, on the lakeside notice boards.
The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations has ordered a fishing ban at the following locations and times in July:
On July 4, 2026 (Saturday), from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be a general fishing ban on the Szombathely Boating Lake due to the Vasi Vasember triathlon competition! We ask fellow anglers not to obstruct the construction of the course necessary for the swimming race on the given shore sections with their fishing activities on the day before the competition !
- On July 4, 2026 (Saturday), from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a general fishing ban will be in effect on the Lukácsháza side of Lake Abért II due to a fishing competition.
- Due to the fishing competitions to be held as part of the Pinka Valley Fishing Day on July 11, 2026 (Saturday) from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on fishing for anglers not registered for the competition in the following water areas:
Vaskeresztes Pinka backwater
Vaskeresztes Alpine Fishing Lake
- On July 18, 2026 (Saturday), from 06:00 to 11:00, there will be a general ban on fishing on Lake Vasvári for anglers not registered for the competition.
- On July 19, 2026 (Sunday), due to the association fishing competition on Lake Csánigi, there will be a general fishing ban from 05:30 to 15:00 for anglers not registered for the competition.
- On July 19, 2026 (Sunday), due to the fishing competition on Lake Újperinti I, a general fishing ban will come into effect from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for anglers not registered for the competition!
- On July 26, 2026 (Sunday), from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on fishing on the Lukácsháza settlement and Gyöngyös stream side of Lake Abért II due to a fishing competition for anglers not registered for the competition.
