2026. August monthly bans

During the month of August, several fishing competitions and fishing camps will be held throughout the county. During the events, full or partial fishing bans will be in effect for anglers not participating in the event. Please always check the current restrictions before you go fishing. In addition to our website, we will also publish the bans on our Facebook page and, if possible, on the lakeside notice boards.

The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations has ordered a fishing ban at the following locations and times in August:

• On August 1, 2026 (Saturday), from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., a fishing ban will be in effect on Lake Magyarszecsődi for anglers not registered for the competition in order to ensure the smooth running of the Végvári Győző Memorial Competition.

• On August 1, 2026 (Saturday), there will be a fishing ban on the Szombathely Boating Lake from 08:00 to 18:00 due to the Dragon Boat Festival.

• Between August 2-6, 2026, in order to ensure the smooth running of the Vasi Vizeken Youth Fishing Camp, a fishing ban will be in effect on the Alpesi Lake in Vaskerestes. During the above period, all fishing activities are PROHIBITED except for camp participants.

• Between August 3-9, 2026, in order to ensure the smooth running of the 1st semi-final of the 5th Rakós Botos Carp Fishing National Championship, a fishing ban will be in effect in the entire area of ​​Lake Lukácsházi Abért II for anglers not registered for the competition.

• On August 9, 2026 (Sunday), between 7:00 and 13:30, a fishing ban will be in effect on Lake Pinkamindszenti for anglers not registered for the competition in order to ensure the smooth running of the Körmendi Munkás HE. private competition.

• On August 15, 2026 (Saturday), between 7:00 and 15:30, in order to ensure the smooth running of the Iron Police Pairs Competition, a fishing ban will be in effect on the Lukácsházi Abért II. Lake side facing the Lukácsháza settlement for anglers not registered for the competition.

• On August 22, 2026 (Saturday), from 07:00 to 15:00, there will be a fishing ban on the Ikervár artificial canal due to the August 20th Cup association fishing competition.

• On August 22, 2026 (Saturday), from 07:00 to 11:00, there will be a fishing ban on Lake Vasvári due to the Horváth István György Dwarf Catfish Catching Memorial Competition.

• From 06:00 on August 26, 2026 to 10:00 on August 29, 2026, a fishing ban will be in effect on the Magyarszecsőd gravel pit lake in order to ensure the smooth running of the 3rd Vasi Vizeken Friendly Boil Team Competition.

• There will be a fishing ban on the Kerka Fishing Lake in Kerkaszentkirály from 5:00 p.m. on August 28, 2026 to 5:00 p.m. on August 29, 2026 due to the Kerkaszentkirály Village Day Night Fishing Competition.

• On August 30, 2026 (Sunday), from 07:00 to 14:00, there will be a fishing ban on Lake Répcelak due to the children's fishing competition of the Répcelak City Miner Fishing Association .
