10 years of supporting competitive anglers

The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations is pleased to inform the fishing community that it is announcing its application for the tenth time to support competitive anglers and competition teams who are members of the association's member associations.

The application opportunity provides assistance to sport anglers who have already successfully participated in regional, national or international fishing competitions and need support to continue their competitive activities or develop.

Activities eligible for support under an individual application

Equipment procurement related to competitive fishing
Support can be requested for the purchase of equipment necessary for competition, which will facilitate preparation and participation in regional, national or international competitions.
Travel expenses support
The grant may provide a contribution towards travel costs for preparatory training and competitions.
Other competition-related costs: These may include, in particular, entry fees, accommodation costs, territorial permits, and the purchase of bait and lures required for competitions.

Team competition opportunity

The association also provides a special application opportunity for competition teams, which can provide support for participation in regional, national or international competitions.

Submission of applications

Applications will only be accepted by completing and submitting the application form available on the association's website (attached to our article).

Deadline for submission of applications: April 10, 2026.

Evaluation of applications

The applications are decided by the Management Committee of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations. During the assessment, we take into account the applicants' previous competition results and the personal circumstances of the applicants. When awarding the support, we pay special attention to female competitors, youth sport anglers, and competitors with disabilities.
