Young fishermen from Vasi at the FeHoVa exhibition
Thanks to the cooperation of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations, the Sárvíz-Lake Fishing Association and the support of MOHOSZ, 64 child anglers were able to participate in the 31st International Weapons, Fishing, Hunting (FeHoVa) Exhibition. 200 exhibitors from 13 countries presented their products at the event.

The young fishermen from Vas left for Budapest in two buses at dawn on February 8, 2025. A total of 64 children arrived from Szombathely, Sárvár, Rábapaty and Győrvár for the FeHoVa exhibition. After registering at the MOHOSZ stand, the young people divided into groups and tested their knowledge of fish species, fishing methods and environmental protection knowledge in various playful contests.
The best of each competition received a special gift, but every participant who completed the tasks received a backpack with the MOHOSZ logo, a fishing baseball cap and a plush fish as a souvenir for their participation in FeHoVa. It was a great experience for the young anglers to meet many world champion Hungarian anglers and professional writers, either directly or through lectures. During the free program, the children were able to learn about falconry and had the opportunity to pet dogs. After several high-quality programs, games and knowledge tests, the groups went home enriched with new knowledge, a little tired, but full of experiences.
The following tour leaders actively participated in the implementation of the trip: Tamás Farkas (Szombathely), János Pipics (Sárvár), Ferenc Pukler (Rábapaty), Dániel Szabó (Győrvár), to whom we would like to express our special thanks. With the support of the MOHOSZ and local fishing organizations nationwide, nearly 1,000 young people were able to attend the largest hunting and fishing exhibition in the Carpathian Basin this year as well.
