XII. PINKA VALLEY FISHING DAY FISHING COMPETITION - TECHNICAL INFORMATION
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, the Pinka Valley Fishing Day will be held for the twelfth time, during which competitors can compare their fishing skills in three categories.
This year, the competition venues will be set up as follows:
- Adult hobby category: Vaskeresztesi Pinka-backwater
- Competition category: Vaskeresztes Alpine Fishing Lake - on the side facing the main road
- Youth category: Vaskeresztes Alpine Fishing Lake - on the side facing the inn
Important change!
Unlike previous years, the competitive category will not be held on the Vaskerestes Municipal Lake this year , but on the main road side of the Alpine Fishing Lake .

Important rules:
All competitors must have a valid state fishing license and the necessary fishing permits on the day of the competition.
The use of ringed fish traps is mandatory.
Feed material – after pouring, ready for use – can be used up to 20 liters , and bait up to 2.5 liters . (Maximum 0.5 liters of feeder mosquito larvae, in addition 1/8 liter of fireflies, and maximum 0.5 liter of earthworms.) The feed material limit can contain up to 1 liter of dry powder materials (TTX, Liant a Coller, Litou, glues, powder aromas, gravel and powdery soils), which must be presented in a separate measuring container.
During the competition, one rod may be used at a time, with a maximum of one single-barred hook .
In the hobby category, both the float and bottom fishing methods can be used.
In the competitive category, only the swimming method can be used.
In the hobby category, the use of a carp cradle or carp mattress is mandatory.
The use of bait rockets and Spombs is not permitted.
A valid catch is a fish that is already within the shoreline and in the possession of the competitor when the horn sounds to signal the end of the competition.
The competitor is obliged to leave his fishing spot clean, collect and remove waste.

FISHING BAN DURING THE 12TH PINKA VALLEY FISHING DAY
We would like to inform our fellow anglers that on July 11, 2026 (Saturday) between 6:30 and 14:00, due to the holding of fishing competitions, there will be a fishing ban in the following water areas for anglers not registered for the competition:
