Trout have arrived in the Alpine Lake in Vaskerestes
Similarly to previous years – based on the permission of the national fish management authority – on Friday, 204 kg, approximately 20 dkg, of rainbow trout were stocked into the Alpine lake in front of the Vaskeresztes Fishing Tourism Center (Vaskeresztes 167 hrsz. water level). The beautiful, healthy trout were provided by the Devecseri Forestry of Bakonyerdő Zrt.
Their selection and loading took place at the Sárosfő fish ponds, in the presence of Gergely Nagy, forestry director, his colleagues, a colleague of our Association, and the Pankotay couple, well-known in light spinning circles.
Their presence is also of particular importance because the stocked trout provide the opportunity for practicing and competing in Trout-Area fishing on the Alpine Lake.
This dynamically developing light spinning discipline worldwide is becoming increasingly popular in Hungary with its unique “fast” rhythm, box-based starting points, and bait and equipment requirements that prioritize fish protection. A world championship has been held for several years, and in Hungary, a National Championship is organized by MOHOSZ.

Fishing rules on Alpine Lake (C&R water area)
To protect the fish population, camera surveillance and professional and commissioned fish guards monitor the water area.
From November 1, 2025, fishing is allowed under the following conditions:
• Fishing is only allowed with 1 rod, a barbless hook, and only with artificial bait, spinning or fly fishing.
• The use of rubber artificial baits is PROHIBITED! (twister, grub, worm, crab, rubber fish, etc.)
• The use of knot-free or rubberized diving bags is mandatory!
• All fish – except for pygmy catfish – must be released immediately and gently. The hook should be removed with tweezers or pliers, avoiding contact with the fish by hand.
• Fishing time: from sunrise to sunset or until the street lights are turned on.
• Fishing in the dark is FORBIDDEN!
• Fishing with live bait fish, fish slices and lures is PROHIBITED!
• The use of a sinking net and hook release device is mandatory!
• A space designed for people with disabilities can be used by anyone, but the space must be vacated upon arrival of a disabled person.
• All nets suitable for catching fish (except for gillnets) are prohibited.
• Information about further restrictions will be provided by the staff of the Vas County Fishing Association and on the notice boards placed on the shore of the lake.
Ticket purchase and fishing conditions:
Those who have a valid daily / weekly / annual Federal regional ticket can fish at the Alpine Fishing Lake without having to buy a separate daily ticket!
Ticket prices (without Vasi regional ticket, only for those with a state fishing license):
• Adult C&R (over 18 years): 1500 HUF
• Replacement C&R (under 18 years): 1000 HUF
Daily tickets valid for the Alpesi Lake are also available online at horgaszjegy.hu, after logging into your personal angler profile.
Important!
C&R ticket types do not allow you to take fish – all fish (except for dwarf catfish) must be gently released back into the water immediately after being caught!
A mobile toilet was purchased as part of the MOHOSZ BÖBE project, which is available to all anglers and visitors. Thanks to this, hygienic conditions were ensured even during the closure of the Fishing Tourism Center.
