The fish guards of neighboring counties conducted joint inspections
A total of 6 professional fishermen from the Győr-Moson-Sopron County and Vas County Associations of Sport Fishing Associations conducted a joint inspection on Saturday on the jointly supervised Rába section and its water system. The inspection included the section from the Rába Ragyogó Bridge to the Pápoc paving, from the Kis-Rába Nicki dam to Beledig and the Csánig gravel pit lake, and involved a total of 20 people.
The primary goal of the inspection was to better understand the areas and fishing spots of the Vasi and Győr sections that are less known to the other party, and to transfer the knowledge of the fish guard and local characteristics to colleagues.
Of course, people fishing in the water areas were also allowed to continue fishing after a thorough but professional inspection. Fortunately, apart from a few warnings, professional fish wardens did not have to take action in cases of more serious violations.

Unfortunately, during the inspection, it was once again revealed that many fellow anglers do not show even the slightest respect for nature or other anglers, or for the legal and fishing regulations. In addition to quite a few garbage-strewn fishing spots, despite the water management authority's strict prohibition, fishing spots dug into the riverbed, fishing spots covered with plastic film, and unused pools "beautify" the otherwise wonderful riverbank.

However, our fish wardens were pleased to see how many people live their fishing passion on the controlled section of the river; according to the fishermen, most of their favorite fishing spots are located here.
Based on the agreement between our professional fish guards and the Associations, joint inspections will continue in the future and will be held more frequently in order to protect honest, law-abiding anglers and native fish stocks.

We thank the professional fish guards of both counties for their work!
