The area around the Magyarlak dam will be closed

According to information from Szombathely Hydropower Plant Ltd. (9756 Ikervár Hydropower Plant), work will soon begin in the area of the Rába Dam near Magyarlak, where, based on a water rights construction permit, the construction of water facilities (fish ladder and canoe slide) ensuring the longitudinal passage of the dam will begin.

The work is expected to take 2-3 months, so freight traffic, work, and access restrictions are expected on the given section. All work processes are weather dependent, so for the entire period of construction, the side of the technical area facing the village of Magyarlak will be closed for accident prevention reasons, to which, at the request of the contractor, we hereby draw the attention of whitewater anglers and rowers.
