Special prize and podium place at the 11th Püspökpuszta Pike Stew Cooking Competition
The team of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations once again finished with excellent results at the 11th Püspökpuszta Pike Poke Cooking Competition! We would like to thank everyone for their support.
More than thirty teams entered the competition to test their cooking skills and show off their mouth-watering chub dishes. The event has now become a true winter tradition, where participants come together not only for the gastronomic challenge, but also for the power of community, the "angler-fisherman" friendly gatherings, and the love of fish dishes.
Our team delivered an outstanding performance this year. Our Vice President László Laki's pike stew, which stood out for its perfect preparation, received a special award .
The Kemenesaljai pike dish, shared by Tamás Karácsonyi and his partner Mónika Rákóczi, won the prestigious 3rd place in the other food category , which is also a huge recognition among the more than thirty entrants!
The organizers – led by Árpád Horváth – once again put together a fantastic event that provided an unforgettable experience for all participants.

We look forward to welcoming all cooking teams in Vas County to the 11th Pinka Valley Fish Day, which will be held on July 12, 2025 in Vaskeresztes!
Congratulations to all competitors, the organizers and of course our team for the fantastic results!
We also bid farewell to meteorologist Lajos Németh with his thoughts at the announcement of the results: "Next year with you again, again in the same place..."
