Lure fishing extended until May 31st on Alpesi Lake!
In view of the ongoing interest, our Association has extended the fishing regulations for the Alpine Lake - related to artificial bait trout fishing announced during the winter period - which were in effect until April 30th, until May 31st.
As part of this, we will once again provide the opportunity to catch trout on the weekend of May 2–3 (Saturday–Sunday) between 8:00 and 18:00.
On the designated day, every angler will have the opportunity to complete their fishing experience by taking home a fresh trout they have caught. The condition for participation - regardless of the existence of any other territorial ticket valid for the water area - is the purchase of a general, adult day ticket (5,500 HUF), which allows fishing with a maximum of two rods. Daily tickets can also be purchased on site from the fishing guard, but can also be purchased online at www.horgaszjegy.hu page.
During the campaign, it is mandatory to keep the first 8 rainbow trout caught, regardless of size. The average size of the fish is 18–25 dkg, so the catch results can be well planned. Another important rule is that only trout fishing is allowed, all other fish species must be gently returned to the water. The fish caught and kept must be recorded in the catch log.
Based on the current stocking levels and fish activity, there is a very high chance of successful fishing, so this trout fishing can be ideal for both novice and experienced anglers.
Depending on the weekend's experience and the development of the trout population remaining in the lake, it is possible that we will provide a similar opportunity next weekend, but a final decision on this matter is expected later.
In May, outside of the fish retention campaign, the fishing rules on Alpine Lake (C&R water area) are as follows:
• Fishing is only allowed with 1 rod, a barbless hook, and only with artificial bait, spinning or fly fishing.
• The use of rubber artificial baits is PROHIBITED! (twister, grub, worm, crab, rubber fish, etc.)
• The use of knot-free or rubberized diving bags is mandatory!
• All fish – except for pygmy catfish – must be released immediately and gently. The hook should be removed with tweezers or pliers, avoiding contact with the fish by hand.
• Fishing time: from sunrise to sunset or until the street lights are turned on.
• Fishing in the dark is FORBIDDEN!
• Fishing with live bait fish, fish slices and lures is PROHIBITED!
• The use of a sinking net and hook release device is mandatory!
• A space designed for people with disabilities can be used by anyone, but the space must be vacated upon arrival of a disabled person.
• All nets suitable for catching fish (except for gillnets) are prohibited.
• Information about further restrictions will be provided by the staff of the Vas County Fishing Association and on the notice boards placed on the shore of the lake.
To protect the fish population, camera surveillance and professional and commissioned fish guards monitor the water area.

Due to the good weather, non-artificial bait fishing (feeder, float, etc.) other than the above rules is permitted only upon individual request – for anglers with annual area licenses who have been regularly visiting the lake before – in a limited number until May 31, but only in areas outside the netted area in front of the Fishing Tourism Center. Such requests can be sent to info@vasivizeken.hu must be sent to the address, which will be reviewed within 5 working days of submission. Please include the serial number of the state ticket and the annual regional ticket in the application, as well as the method you wish to use.
