Fishing ban in Kerkafalva!

We hereby inform our esteemed fellow anglers that on Saturday, May 17, 2025, a general fishing ban will come into effect on Lake Kéthatár in Kerkafalvi between 9:00 and 17:00 due to a riverbed mapping survey.

We respectfully ask fellow anglers to refrain from fishing between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on this day and not to obstruct the measurement work.

During the survey, we get a complete picture using a complex measurement system:
• the lake bed conditions (depth, topography, sediment layer),
• the location of objects on the riverbed,
• and the quantity and structure of the fish stock.

The mapping results in a gridded, layered map that provides accurate data on the lake's volume and sediment layers. The ultrasonic measurements are complemented by probe inspection.

The fish population survey is carried out by special software, which classifies the detected fish into three different size categories - thus providing reliable information about the lake's fish-holding capacity.

After development, the completed riverbed maps will be available on the vasivizeken.hu website and on the affected waterfronts.
