Fish dishes, colorful programs – the 11th Pinka Valley Fish Day is coming to Vaskeresztes

The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations is organizing the Pinka Valley Fishing Day for the eleventh time, which is increasingly awaited every year. The event will once again be hosted by the Alpesi Inn and Fishing Tourism Center in Vaskeresztes – this time on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The aim of the program is to offer a rich, meaningful summer day for all ages, combining fishing, gastronomy and community experiences.

The day starts at 6:45 a.m. with registration for the friendly fishing competition, followed by the fish dish making competition, where enthusiastic teams will compete against each other in their cooking skills. At noon, the jury will evaluate the dishes, and then the long-awaited fish dish tasting will begin at 1:00 p.m. Guests can choose from freshly made fish soups, fried and smoked fish, and other special dishes - while supplies last.

One portion of fish dish can be purchased for a 1500 HUF support ticket, however, those who buy three tickets at once will receive three portions for only 3000 HUF – so the third fish dish is practically a gift. With the support tickets, we can not only enjoy the gastronomic offer, but we also support the successful implementation of the event and the popularization of fish dishes. The afternoon programs will continue with the presentation of the Vaskeresztes Tradition Keepers, followed by ceremonial greetings and announcements of results.

The stage show then offers visitors a real cultural treat: MIRA Orient Art's revue line arrives with an exotic atmosphere and a spectacular dance show, and then Jonathan Nagy , a nationally known illusionist, enchants the audience with a special production.

The Golden Gate Orchestra The colorful concert offers a pleasant experience for both young and old, and at the end of the day, the Die Lausbuben band will provide a lively atmosphere. The band's program consists of German (Swabian), traditional, wind and dance entertainment tunes, so both young and old will find something to their liking. The band's members, who play several instruments, prepare for the evening with a diverse and dynamic repertoire.

One of the highlights of the event will be the raffle drawing starting at 6:40 PM every year, where valuable prizes will be awarded - so it's worth staying the whole way! The kids won't be bored either: starting at 2:00 PM, all children's programs are free of charge, including face painting, glitter tattoos, a bouncy castle, a sliding air castle, pony carriage rides and fish skill games. 🎈🐴🎨

During the event, special presentations will also be held. The TackleBait fishing shop and webshop will hold a fishing demonstration from 2 p.m., where interested parties can learn about modern equipment and techniques, while adults will be treated to a wine tasting at Mittl Winery from 4 p.m., featuring delicious Vas-hegy wines. 🍷🎣

All programs of the 11th Pinka Valley Fish Day – from stage performances to children's activities – are completely free of charge. A supporter ticket is required for the gastronomic experiences, with which visitors can contribute to the high-quality organization of the event.
