April 2026 Monthly Prohibitions

Several fishing competitions will be held throughout the county in April. During the events, there will be full or partial fishing bans for anglers who have not registered for the competition. Please always check the current restrictions before you go fishing. In addition to our website, we will also post the bans on our Facebook page and, if possible, on the lakeside notice boards.

The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations orders a fishing ban in the following locations and times in April:

• Between April 4–11, 2026, in order to ensure the smooth running of the training and competition of the 10th National Coastal Spinning Championship, a fishing ban will be in effect on the Gyöngyösfalu section of the Gyöngyös Stream for anglers not registered for the competition.

• Between March 13-19, 2026, in order to ensure the smooth running of the Trout Area National Ranking Points Competitions and to allow the existing fish stock to rest, a closure will be in effect on Lake Alpesi. During the above period, all fishing activities are strictly PROHIBITED on the lake except for anglers registered for the competition.

• On April 18, 2026 (Saturday), from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a partial fishing ban will be in effect on the Lukácsháza settlement and Gyöngyös stream side of Lake Abért II due to a fishing competition.

• On April 25, 2026 (Saturday), from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a partial fishing ban will be in effect on the Lukácsháza side of Lake Abért II due to a private fishing competition.

• On April 26, 2026 (Sunday), from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a partial fishing ban will be in effect on the Lukácsháza settlement and Gyöngyös stream side of Lake Abért II due to a fishing competition.
