A children's competition was held in Répcelak
The traditional children's competition of the Répcelak Fishing Association was held on Lake Répcelak on August 24. This time, 16 anglers entered the competition - which was once again excellently organized and held in a great atmosphere. Attila Kádi, the president of the association, reported on the event, which we are now publishing.
At the morning gathering, the area around the lake was already filled with children's noise. Zoltán Töreki assisted in the preparations and the drawing of lots. After the drawing of lots, all 16 children who had registered took their places and began their preparations, while Erika, András, Anita and Zoli prepared the lángos for breakfast. Even before the competition started, the children and their parents came back to the tent and ate the freshly prepared lángos.
The 4-hour competition began at 8 o'clock - with the sound of a bugle. The more skilled caught the most beautiful fish in a short time. In the end, unfortunately, luck was not on everyone's side, but there were still some nice catches. The weighing began at 12 o'clock, followed by the long-awaited announcement of the results.
The results were as follows:
3rd place: Alexandra Szabó - 11,960 gr
2nd place: Krisztián Szabó - 12,820 gr
1st place: Buthi Benjamin - 15,990 gr
Most successful girl:
3rd place: Takács Buttercup - 2050 gr
2nd place: Réka Ivánkovics - 5620 gr
1st place: Alexandra Szabó - 11,960 gr
Péter Vörös received a special prize for the biggest fish, which was a 5050 gram carp.
As a consolation prize, Máté Szeli received a ball signed by the Répcelaki SE football team, courtesy of Zoltán Kiss Jr.
After the results were announced, the association treated all participants to a bowl of goulash. Every child who participated was able to return home with lots of gifts after the competition, thanks to the many donations and support.
