In the month of July, a fishing competition is held several times throughout the county. During the events, full or partial fishing bans will be in effect for anglers who have not entered the competition. Please always check the current restrictions before you go fishing. In addition to our website, we publish the bans on our Facebook page and, if possible, on the lakeside notice boards.

The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations orders a fishing ban at the following locations and times in July:

On July 6, 2024 (Saturday) from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be a general fishing ban on the Szombathely Csónakázó lake due to the Vasi Vasember triathlon competition! We ask fellow anglers not to obstruct the construction of the course necessary for the swimming number on the given sections of the coast with their fishing activities on the day before the competition (Friday, July 5).

July 06, 2024 (Saturday) from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. there will be a general ban for anglers who have not entered the competition due to a fishing competition at the Alpesi lake in Vaskerzeste.

On July 13, 2024 (Saturday) from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be a general ban for anglers who have not entered the competition in the following water areas due to the fishing competitions held as part of the Pinka Valley Fish Day:

Vaskeresztes Pinka backwater

Vaskeresztes Municipal Lake

Vaskeresztes Alpine Fishing Lake

On July 14, 2024 (Sunday), there will be a general fishing ban for anglers who have not entered the competition from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. due to an association fishing competition on Lake Csánigi.

On July 14, 2024 (Sunday) from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on the side of the Abért II lake on the side of the Lukácsháza settlement for anglers who have not entered the competition.

July 20, 2024 (Saturday) from 06:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. there will be a general ban on the Vasvári Csónázázó lake due to a fishing competition for anglers who have not entered the competition.

On July 27, 2024 (Saturday), between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., there will be a partial ban on the 5 fishing lodges located to the right of the restricted jetty on Sárvíz Lake in Gersekarát due to a children's fishing demonstration.
