We received the following report from Attila Kádi, the president of the association, about this year's association fishing competition of the Répcelak Fishing Association. It is a special pleasure for us to see that such a cohesive, active fishing community operates in Répcelak year after year, where in addition to competition, great emphasis is placed on community building, families and the involvement of children. 28 anglers initially registered for this year's adult and youth fishing competition of the Répcelak Fishing Association. After the morning registration, the opening ceremony and the draw, 20 adults and 4 youth competitors finally took their places on Lake Csánig, where the four-hour competition began. During the preparation period, the enthusiastic helpers of the association had already taken care of the participants' breakfast: they welcomed the competitors with freshly baked sausages, who happily sat down to a common breakfast after unloading. The competition started at 8 am. Due to the frontal weather, many people chose small fish fishing, which proved successful. Although there were few carp on the hook this time, the more experienced competitors still managed to catch some nice specimens. While the anglers competed on the waterfront, the visiting children also had fun. On the shore, a plush fish-catching skill competition, a fish-matching game, and fish-recognition tasks awaited them. The children enthusiastically and skillfully completed the challenges, and their performance was recognized with a reward. It was a joy to see the enthusiasm and smiles of the youngest ones. At the end of the competition, the weighing and the announcement of the results followed, which was closed with a joint lunch.
