On Sunday, May 17, 2026, we organized the round of the Vasi Vizeken–Garbolino–TackleBait Döröske Cup competitor category at the Döröske reservoir. This time, the 4-hour fine-rig competition was not only about fish, but also about endurance, adaptation and technical knowledge, as the competitors were greeted by an extremely strong gusty wind on the waterfront. A total of 13 competitors took part in the round, in two sectors: a 6-person and a 7-person field. Although the morning rain had stopped and the sun came out from time to time, the stormy gusts of wind posed a serious challenge to both the rakós rod and match rod anglers. A good result on this day primarily required continuous bream catching, accurate feeding, appropriate bait and rig selection, and quick tactical adaptation. There was no major complaint about the average and total catch: Total catch: 104,420 grams Average catch: 8,032 grams/person The rankings were based on the sector evaluations, so it was especially important to see how much each person was able to get the most out of their own part of the course. The following competitors finally finished on the podium of the Döröske Cup: 1. Bálint Varga – B27 – 13,390 g 2. Zoltán Töreki – A18 – 11,180 g 3. István Bedics – B25 – 11,420 g
